Wenn Townsend Clients Set
To Benefit From It Investment
Clients at Wenn Townsend, one of Oxford’s leading
firms of practicing accountants, are set to benefit from
the operational cost savings and enhanced flexibility in
client service that the practice will enjoy as the result
of its recent investment of over £150,000 in the latest
information technology.
Working closely with long time IT partner, Sutton Coldfield based Professional
Computer Solutions (PCS), the Midlands leading IT solutions provider, Wenn
Townsend is upgrading its existing IT infrastructure, implementing the latest
taxation software for personal, business and corporate matters and commissioning
internationally acclaimed Advance? practice management software.
The infrastructure upgrade focuses on the introduction of a fast and highly
efficient, Citrix ‘thin client’, central processing network, which
will replace the firm’s existing conventional local area network (LAN)
arrangements. ‘Thin Client’ technology has for years delivered
true business savings and is now becoming the ‘system’ of choice
for professional firms.
The business-wide implementation of award winning, high performance taxation
software from Digita will allow the firm to harness the latest technologies
for the benefit of clients and will deliver operational enhancements in accuracy
and efficiency.
Both these changes are being complemented by the introduction of Advance® practice
management software from Advanced Professional Solutions (APS).
Software authors Digita and APS have developed a close working relationship
and there is a high degree of compatibility between their products. When PCS’ expertise
and knowledge is added into this equation the total offering provides customers
with a true, high quality, ‘one stop’ purchasing opportunity.
Commenting at the signing of contracts, Wenn Townsend managing partner, Leslie
Benton said: “Frustrations with our last software supplier made us realise
how important it was to choose the ‘right’ business critical software.
As we knew it would, PCS took the time to fully understand what we are trying
to achieve and has provided excellent solutions that will enable us to develop
our business and deliver real benefits to our clients that will, in turn, help
us to further develop our reputation in the locality.”
